The SOLUTION

Following a full Site Survey by Select Group, accompanied by V360’s Engineers, V360 designed and developed an integrated “Smart Site” solution, incorporating the following:

  • AI-Driven PPE Detection, to ensure workers are wearing the right PPE

  • Thermal cameras, detecting heat, smoke, and flame - to provide advance notice of fire risks, as well as workers smoking on site

  • Solar CCTV Towers, which could protect the site for months with no power

  • ANPR cameras to record registrations and exact arrival and departure times of all vehicles, thus providing evidence-based data to counter any potential dispute.

  • An integration with a hardened Tablet, to allow the site management to receive alerts within seconds of anything picked up by our CCTV solutions.

The Problem

Protecting valuable plant, machinery, tools and materials has long been a major challenge for construction sites, but for Barratt and David Wilson Homes the Health and Safety of their employees and subcontractors is paramount and something that they asked Select Group to incorporate into their security proposals for their developments.

In addition, late or missed deliveries have caused delays and unnecessary costs to be incurred on previous projects, so Select Group needed to find a robust solution to support their client’s position in the event of a disputed delivery.

The OUTCOME

As a result of V360’s efforts, Select Group won a 48 month contract with Barratt and David Wilson Homes, and met their clients’ exacting requirements, enhancing what was already a commendable approach to workers safety.

Select Group were able to promptly and effectively alert their clients to Security and SHEQ issues, and respond quickly to each and every alarm activation, escalating any incident as required to ensure the continued protection of their valued clients’ workers, assets and property.

Select Group continue to use V360 as their in-house Technology Specialist, and chose to commission another £150k R&D project to develop a brand new security system.
